The total solar eclipse has come and gone for our region of the world. But if you managed to hold onto your eclipse glasses, Myrtle Shop on Talbot Street is helping find them a new home.
While St. Thomas-Elgin won’t get to experience what we did on Monday again in any of our lifetime’s, an eclipse is set to pass over Latin America in August of this year.
Those with glasses laying around can drop them off or mail them to Myrtle by the end of April, where they’ll be shipped to Utah for distribution in other countries.
Myrtle’s store hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Or, mail to: Myrtle Shop, 689 Talbot Street, St. Thomas ON N5P1E3.
