Two St. Thomas men have been arrested following a drug trafficking and firearm investigation by city police.
On Tuesday, St. Thomas Police along with Aylmer Police arrested 20-year-old Tyler Norton in Aylmer.
He was found in possession of illegal drugs.
That evening, the St. Thomas Police Service Critical Incident Response Team and Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a west end residence and arrested 19-year-old Joshua Hawley who was in possession of a loaded rifle.
Norton was in possession of:
- 36.5 grams of cocaine with a street value of $3,650
- 36.5 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $4,015
- 0.9 grams of crack-cocaine with a street value of $100
- 1- 6 mg hydromorphone pill with a street value of $15
- 152- .5 mg clonazepam pills with a street value of $304

- functioning digital weigh scale
- A Rolex Watch
- 1 loose 40-caliber round
- A 9mm Colt handgun.
Total value of seized drugs is $8,084
Norton was charged with:
- carrying a concealed weapon contrary to section 90 of the Criminal Code
- unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- two counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
- possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
The following items were seized from Hawley:
- .22-calibre loaded rifle
- .22-calibre rounds
He has been charged with:
- unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- two counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
