Today is Pink Shirt Day, an annual initiative that looks to get people talking about peer victimization or more commonly referred to as “bullying.”
In the fight against bullying, the OPP often visit local schools to chat with our students notes Constable David Yome.
He told us more about their talks that focus on topics like cyber bullying.
Yome says they’re also warning students to be careful about what they post online.
With it being Pink Shirt Day, the officer wanted to share a few tips in case you or someone you know is being bullied.
Other tips include finding support in the friends you hang out with to speak out against bullying, and take time to think about the qualities you want in a friend and try and instill those qualities in yourself.
