The Township of Southwold will be celebrating Family Day with a “bang” on Saturday as the 6th annual Winterfest returns.
This free event is open to all Southwold families and will include people-mover rides, a kids outdoor play zone, a bonfire, free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, hot chocolate and more.
Live entertainment will also be provided by Nick Ewanick before the highly anticipated Fireworks at 7 p.m. provided by the Fingal-Shedden & District Optimist Club.
“Our Winterfest Committee is continuing to put on a wonderful event for all of the families in our Community. It’s a great day to celebrate and get everyone outside for a day of winter fun,” said Southwold Mayor Grant Jones. “A huge thank-you goes out to all the volunteers and the committee that put on this great event with all of their hard work and dedication. Every year the event gets better and better with more people enjoying many activities for people of all ages. Thanks to generous sponsors and businesses, the event is free for everyone.”
It is worth noting that the fun goes snow, rain, or shine at the Southwold Keystone Complex from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
