Adding that Service Ontario also has a handy reminder feature that residents can sign up for.
Sanchuk stresses this is not what officers want to be busying their time with, but an increase in infraction has called for the reminder.
Drivers can renew their licence plate up to 180 days before it expires, which usually falls on the individual’s birthday.
