As myFM first reported, a building collapse on Hiawatha Street in St. Thomas last month forced the evacuation of its tenants- many of them leaving with only what they could carry.
Now the community is coming together to show their support by helping to replace lost belongings and find permanent housing as quick as possible.
In doing so, a ‘Dig In Your Healz’ benefit concert featuring Dealerz Choice Allstar Band & Friendz has been planned for this Saturday, with all funds raised supporting the victims of the apartment collapse.
Tickets are $15 each or by donation and can be picked up at St. Thomas Anglican Church.
They’ll be available for purchase Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and at the door.
