As they near the mid-point in the GOJHL schedule, the St. Thomas Stars this week pulled off a five-player trade with the cellar-dwelling Komoka Kings.
For the Stars it is a case of trading youth for veteran experience.
St. Thomas sent Jackson Doyle (two goals no assists in 16 games), Seth Huygen (4-5, 21 games) and Owen van de Ven (2-19, 27 games) to the Kings.
In return, St. Thomas gets defenceman Judd Katz (4-8, 24 games) and forward Adam Zuckerman (3-10, 28 games).
We spoke with myFM’s Stars broadcaster Chris Soares for his take on the swap.
Soares lets Stars’ fans know what the team has acquired from the Kings.
The Stars return to action tomorrow (Friday) evening against the Brantford Bandits, puck drop is 7:30 p.m. at the Joe Thornton Community Centre. myFM will have all of the action with Chris Soares beginning at 7:15 p.m.
