A heads up to residents of Port Stanley as a road closure has been planned for Bridge Street beginning next week.
The Municipality of Central Elgin notes that Bridge will be closed between Carlow Road and Colbourne Street as of Monday morning.
A detour route of Carlow Road to Warren Street to Colbourne has been put in place, with work set to wrap up by end of day Thursday (Nov 30).
The closure is necessary as the King George Lift Bridge is set to receive painting repairs.
For the safety of all residents and visitors, motorists are kindly asked for their cooperation in following the designated detour route.
