If you’ve driven by Messenger Freight Systems over the holidays, you know they like to go all out in terms of lights and decorations.
That’s largely thanks to the passion of Owner and President Louise Vonk notes General Manager Blaine Skirtschak, who spoke with myFM about the growing display.
And hunting is exactly what she did this year as Skirtschak explains.
The Reindeer, which are roughly 16 and 12 feet tall respectively, have since been set up on the corner of the Messenger Freight property near the intersection of Dennis Road and Highbury Ave.
With the new additions to the family, staff quickly raised the question of names.
Skirtschak notes that’s when they decided to reach out to myFM and see if our team would be interested in helping support a “Name the Reindeer” contest. Of course we said yes!
To get involved, all you have to do is submit a name for one or both of the Reindeer that you think encapsulates the spirit of joy and festivity.
Skirtschak says the actual amount is being kept under wraps until the winner is announce, but a great Downtown Dollars Prize Pack is up for grabs.
He adds that the community seems to really enjoy the display as a number of people have begun to stop and visit.
To have your say on what Messenger Freight Systems will be naming their Reindeer, send in your submission before the deadline on November 26th at 11:59 p.m.
The winner will then be contacted Wednesday, November 29th.
