It’s a classic romantic comedy from the pen of Canada’s most produced playwright. And it’s on stage now at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre!
“Wrong For Each Other” by Norm Foster follows the story of Rudy and Norah, wonderfully portrayed by Jeff Dingle and Alexandra Brynn.
If opposites attract then Rudy and Norah should be a match made in heaven but as the title suggests, they are sooooo wrong for each other.
myFM had the chance to speak with show Director Liz Gilroy, who gave us a taste of what theatre goers can expect from this incisive, funny and moving performance.
She explains that this hilarious and sometimes heart-breaking look at the roller coaster ride of a relationship, takes the audience back to a time of courtships and real romance, something not as prominent in today’s society.
Gilroy who has spent many summers at PSFT since 2010 as either an actor or director, returns this season in a new role- Associate Artistic Director. She notes how excited she is to be back in the village, with the chance to try something new!
Gilroy will also get the chance to direct the World Premiere of The Beaver Club, which rolls into Port Stanley from August 2nd to the 19th. She adds how important it is that the community continues to support local theatre.
