
Some Ontario hospitals are lifting mask requirements for patients and visitors with some exceptions this week.
Masks are still encouraged in waiting rooms, emergency departments and urgent care centres, and will be required for patients with a fever or respiratory symptoms.
St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital is maintaining its masking requirement at this time and is assessing the situation based on Public Health Ontario declaring the province is in a quote — “non-high risk period of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
