The countdown is on as voting for the winner of Kraft Hockeyville gets underway Friday morning.
It’s an exciting time for the community of West Lorne who have made the top 4 and are now vying for the chance at $250,000 in arena upgrades and the opportunity to host a NHL game.
A number of events have been planned at both the West Lorne Arena and West Elgin Secondary School to help celebrate and get the community involved.
A ceremonial first vote by the McPhail family will kick off the voting rally taking place at 9 a.m.
Throughout Friday and Saturday, attendees can take in two different alumni games, participate in the kids zone and skills competition, and of course VOTE!
Winning Kraft Hockeyville would help with a range of upgrades at the West Lorne Arena, including a new front entrance with more accessible larger doors, new dressing rooms to accommodate more players and an expanded warm room for families and fans.
