My name is Sandra Schmidt. I am a new business owner at the Port Stanley Fire Hall Market, where I own and operate a small soup and sandwich shop called Sandras’ Souper Sandwiches.
My family and I have been residents of Port since 2003 when I had my first serving position here. I have been serving ever since; it allowed me to get to know many residents and become a part of a beautiful community. Serving was always a pleasure, and I enjoyed regularly seeing the many local diners. So when the idea of opening a soup and sandwich shop came up, I was thrilled to have overwhelming local support. It makes me happy to have people that I have served in the past enjoy MY food today. I love to cook and hope people feel that when they eat my offerings.
My partner, Bobby Kristoff, has been integral in making my dream of Sandra’s come to fruition. He is often helping me at the shop, where he serves up soup and keeps the dishes under control.
