I was raised in the country and loved to be outside. Making things out of raw materials was fun throughout my life. From mud bowls to stick shapes, I have always loved rugged and primitive. The opportunity to share a storefront space on Talbot fit a time of change in my life.
I began making candles because most people love them, and I decided to put them in vintage jars to fit my vibe. Not knowing where this opportunity would take me but seeing it grow made me want to embrace my roots and name it something more personal.
Adding a soap line took me a year of watching videos, learning and trying before I decided to do it. I would love to add florals and treats, but there is only one of me so far. š
I love people, and I love a personal touch. As much as I can make my products more homemade (less assembly line) and memorable, the more fun it is for me. I put myself in the process, and Iām happy when the things I make or do reflect me and my hope to please the customer.
Reusing and recycling is a big priority for Spindle; wherever we can, we do!
I like being a part of a local small business to support the people in the town and their interests and love of shopping in their community. It has been a pleasure to get to know other businesses and work together for a common goal and theme: promoting our town and each other. We need to represent ourselves where we live. I love the small businesses that exist here. We all benefit and grow when we collaborate to cross-promote and be involved.
