The St Thomas Stars could very well be peaking at the right time as the Jr. B playoffs get underway this week.
The Stars downed Leamington 5-1 at the Joe yesterday making it three wins in a row now to end the regular season.
Michael Levin scored two more goals yesterday, wrapping up his regular season with a league-leading 42 goals in 33 games. Levin’s four points Sunday increased his points per game average to 1.85, tops in the GOJHL.
William Nichol finished second in GOJHL Western Conference points, but led all rookies in the in points with 64 in 43 games.
St. Thomas finished the regular season in seventh place, which books them an opening round playoff date with rival London.
Game 1 of their quarter-final series goes Wednesday night at the Western Fair.
Chris Soares will have that game for you on myFm starting at 7 p.m.
