Thanks to provincial funding announced earlier this month, a manufacturer of health and beauty products is expanding its Aylmer facility.
The financial investment will allow Sante Manufacturing to improve productivity and reduce reliance on third-party manufacturing.
Sante will upgrade its operations in the former Imperial Tobacco building which currently occupy about 105,000 square feet as company president Wayne Kirby explains.
Their product formulations include liquid soaps, shampoos, conditioners, foam baths, hand and body lotions, scrubs and creams, lip balms, hair gels, fragranced and coloured Epsom salts.
The expansion program likely will result in the hiring of additional employees, as many as 15, advises Kirby.
Next year, Sante projects it will export more than 70 per cent of products it produces.
Kirby explains why they set up in Aylmer several years ago.
He advises the expansion is already progressing.
Sante’s SpaSoap trademark is the largest Canadian-made and owned exported liquid soap.
