Education Minister Stephen Lecce has announced new funding for parents to help students “catch up” from the pandemic.
He says parents of school-aged children can apply starting today for payments of up to $200 per child or $250 for kids with special needs.
Lecce says the payments will help provide tutoring for students — but the government announcement contains no references to parents having to prove how the money would be used.
