Jim Herbert is running for re-election to St. Thomas city council.
Herbert tells 94.1 myFM he’s knocked on 12 hundred doors since the start of the campaign.
Like most municipalities in Ontario – St. Thomas is taking action to address homelessness.
Shelter is a hot button issue in the municipal election campaign. Herbert says the city has cast a wide net to find solutions.
He says his concerns during this campaign align with what he’s hearing from voters.
Herbert concludes that how the City will pay for everything it needs is a concern he shares with voters.
The Municipal election is set for Monday, October 24th, with online voting in St. Thomas now open to eligible voters.
