The sounds of Stars hockey will return to the airwaves next week, right here on 94.1 myFM!
The St. Thomas Stars are getting set to open up the new 2022-23 campaign, with 2 games in a 2-night span.
On Thursday, September 8th, they’ll head to Leamington to take on the Flyers, with myFM bringing you all the action live on air.
We spoke with Chris Soares, voice of the St. Thomas Stars here at 94.1 myFM, who notes how exciting it is to be back!
Something else Soares is excited about is the fact that his right hand man, David Honsberger, will be joining him in the booth again this season.
It’s a match made in heaven as the two prepare to “paint a picture” for all the fans who aren’t able to attend on the road.
Another reason Soares enjoys the gig as “Voice of the Stars” is the people he gets to interact with.
As far as how he thinks the Stars will fair this season, Soares says it’s all about getting off to a good start.
You can catch Chris Soares live next Thursday on 94.1 myFM when the Stars visit the Leamington Flyers to kick off the 2022-23 regular season. Puck drop set for 7:10 p.m., with pregame beginning around 7.
The following night will be the Stars’ home opener as they host the Komoka Kings at the Joe Thornton Community Centre at 7:30 p.m.
