Several Ontario hospitals say they are preparing for a potential shortage of epidural catheters as the province takes steps to track the inventory of the devices used to provide anesthesia during childbirth and some surgeries.
However, St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital does not appear to be impacted at this time.
A spokesperson tells myFM the hospital is currently receiving their shipments of epidurals and they are monitoring their supplies closely.
