The Calipso Festival will officially make a return to the village of Port Stanley this weekend following its revival in 2019.
Running from July 29th to August 1st, the historic festival attracting people from all over, is the collaboration of local business owners who are looking to keep Port Stanley as a thriving tourist destination.
When myFM spoke with Committee Chair Marna Berry, she noted why the festival is so important to the village.
Residents and visitors to Port Stanley will be treated to a packed lineup this weekend, with Calipso kicking off Friday at 5 p.m. with opening ceremonies at the legion.
Highlights of the weekend include an antique car show, kids sand castle building competition, costume contest, boat parade and so much more.
The planned festivities will conclude Sunday evening at dusk with fireworks set off from the Berm.
