It’s going to be another hot and humid day here in St. Thomas-Elgin.
While there are many ways to beat the heat, stopping by a local pool, splashpad or beach is the perfect way to cool off as humidex values are expected to reach the high thirties.
St. Thomas has three splashpads across the city, including at Pinafore Park, 1Password Park and Waterworks Park.
Residents can also utilize public swims hosted at Jaycees Pool each day in the summer.
In Belmont you can stop by the splashpad at Don Yeck Park.
For Dutton residents, the Dutton-Dunwich Community Pool is the perfect place to be with a heat warning in effect.
In the Town of Aylmer, Balmoral Park is the home of both the Aylmer Pool and splashpad.
Those out in West Elgin have a few options as well, including the splashpad at Millers Park in West Lorne, the West Elgin Community Pool in Rodney and the Port Glasgow beach, with access available through the marina.
Speaking of beaches, Elgin County is home to a number of them.
Residents can stop by one of four sandy beaches in Central Elgin, including Main Beach and Little Beach in Port Stanley, as well beaches in both Port Burwell and Port Bruce.
