It looks like this Friday will prove to be exciting day for St. Thomas as we not only get to celebrate Canada Day with the return of fireworks to Pinafore Park, but also the opening of Jaycees Pool.
And there’s no one more excited than the staff at the local pool notes Aquatics Supervisor Samantha Squires.
Squires shares that the swimming season will kick off at 1 p.m. July 1st, with a free swim sponsored by the city.
With a canceled season in 2020 and a number of restrictions in place last year, Squires says they’re happy to announce a return to normal.
With that, Squires notes what’s available to do down at Jaycees each week.
She adds that while spots for swimming lessons have begun filling up for sessions 1 and 2, sessions 3 and 4 taking place in August still have availability.
