
Fans of planes, jets and other aircraft will want keep June 24th-26th open as Air Fest St. Thomas makes its official return.
myFM spoke with Andrew Buttigieg, Media and Public Relations Director for Air Fest 2022 who notes how exciting it is to be back after the canceled event in June of 2020.
Calling it an “Air Experience to Remember”, Buttigieg explains the premise behind the theme for this year.
Adding, this might be the first time some of our younger residents will have the opportunity to experience a show like this.
Buttigieg notes that with so much planned during the weekend long event, there is definitely something for everyone at the festival.
With a number of aircrafts scheduled to make an appearance, Buttigieg adds that with changes to the old format, attendees can stop into Air Fest whenever is convenient to them.
Tickets to Air Fest 2022 can be reserved online in advance of the show, with prices increasing by $10 for those who choose to purchase at the show gates.
The best part of all, funds raised through Air Fest, go back into the local community.
Since 2006, more than $150,000 has been distributed to local nonprofits including the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, St. John Ambulance, 741 St Thomas Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Knights of Columbus, Military Family Resource and many more.
