With March Break coming up next week, myFM has created a list of fun activities and events taking place throughout St. Thomas-Elgin to keep you and your family busy!
The East Elgin Community Complex will be holding public skate all week from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thanks to local sponsors Miller’s Your Independent Grocer and the St. Thomas Elgin Insurance Brokers Association, skating will be free on March 16th, 18th, and 20th.
The Joe Thornton Community Centre will host public skating on both March 13th and 20th beginning at 1:15 p.m.
Both Belmont and Port Stanley arenas are offering public skating next week. Admission is $2 for adults, $1.50 for children under 12 and $6 for a family. The Kiwanis Club of Port Stanley has also kindly sponsored a free skate on March 14th from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Galaxy Cinemas in St. Thomas has a number of showtimes taking place throughout March Break, including matinees beginning as early as 11 a.m.
You can try your hand at bowling by visiting Heritage Lanes in St. Thomas or Cy’s Lanes & Lounge in the Town of Aylmer.
Take advantage of the amazing galleries, libraries and museums we have across the county. Stop into the St. Thomas-Elgin Public Art Centre, take in the exhibits at the Elgin County Heritage Centre or even find a good book at the St. Thomas or Elgin County libraries.
If you’re looking to keep your or your child’s hands busy, the STEAM Education Centre if offering a number of at home kits starting as low as $9.99.
The Ignite Youth Centre will also be offering some drop-in activities for those between the ages of 10 and 19. A different activity will take place each day from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and again from 2:30 to 6 p.m.
Canadale Nurseries will be holding a take home version of their March Break Kids Club. Five different crafts will be available to choose from between March 14th and 20th, ranging from $7 to $25.
Romantic Designs Artist Studio will be hosting a March Break Art Camp for tweens and teens from 1 to 4 p.m. daily. and Purely Wicked is hosting a March Break Party!
Looking to get outside? You can take advantage of the amazing parks and trails throughout St. Thomas and Elgin County. Visit Canada’s first and only Elevated Park right here in St. Thomas, take a stroll through the beautiful Springwater Forest just outside Aylmer, stop by a local play ground or even plan a game of pickup with some friends.
And after all that fun, you may be looking for a bite to eat. At Boston Pizza in St. Thomas, kids eat free the entire month and Subzero Ice Cream Shop is offering 10% off during March Break.
At Domino’s Pizza in St. Thomas and Aylmer, they’re offering 1 topping, kids sized pizzas for just $6 from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day of March Break. If you stop in, don’t forget to snap a photo and tag St. Thomas or Aylmer Domino’s for a chance to win a family pizza party!
