St. Thomas native Celina Toth makes her Olympic debut today and her partner in Victoria, B.C. just had to get a good luck message to her. Being a bus driver for BC Transit, it didn’t take long for Stephen Baines to focus his sentiments in the right direction. That entailed lining up five buses – including three double-deckers – to personalize a message for Toth on their destination boards.

While Baines was not allowed to attend because of restrictions in Tokyo, the five buses clearly illustrate the road he would like to see Toth – who now calls Victoria home – take toward an Olympic medal.
Audio PlayerOf course, Baines and friends will be cheering loudly tonight in Victoria. As will the friends and family of Toth in St. Thomas.
Audio PlayerShould Toth bring home the silverware, those buses might very well be sporting Olympic medalist Celina Toth across their destination boards.
