Today is World Wish Day, and local Pita Pit restaurants are teaming up with Make-A-Wish Canada in an effort to help create hope for children with critical illnesses.
And it’s a really special day for the organization explains St. Thomas Pita Pit owner Shannon Helmer.
For the entire day, a donation of $1 from every pita sold will benefit Make-A-Wish Canada and the children across the country that are waiting for the opportunity to have their wish come true.
Helmer says if you can’t make it into the store today, there are other ways to donate.
