A $37,941 donation has been made to the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank, thanks to our local Metro and their customers.
From November 12 to December 31, 2020 our local Metro store located at 417 Wellington Street, collected toonies at their checkouts to support Metro’s Community Spirit Like No Other campaign.
The campaign was created with the hopes of helping those who have been impacted by the pandemic by supporting local food banks.
Our community answered the call to action, raising more than any other store in Ontario.
The over $37,000 raised for the food bank by the local community helps bring Metro’s donation in Ontario for COVID-19 relief to $3.43 million.
