Small businesses impacted by the provincial shutdown can apply for an Ontario Small Business Support Grant.
The program is being offered to small businesses that are required to close or significantly restrict services under the Provincewide Shutdown.
myFM spoke with Ontario Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy.
Businesses can get up to 20-thousand dollars to help cover lost revenue if they have experienced a drop of at least 20 per cent when comparing monthly revenue in April 2019 and April 2020.
Bethlenfalvy says this grant is in addition to other assistance already in place.
Once the application is successfully submitted an eligible business can expect to receive payment within approximately 10 business days.
