Although he’s not stepping away from the school entirely, Ross Fair, Associate Dean of the Fanshawe College St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus will officially retire from that position today.
Fair joined the College in August 2012 as Chair of the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus and over the past 8 plus years, has helped the academic programs and services evolve to meet emerging needs.
Fair’s passionate advocacy for supporting the workforce development needs of the St. Thomas and Elgin County communities led to ministry support for expansion of the College’s Employment Ontario services to the community, including Academic Upgrading, an accomplishment he says he is very proud of.
When asked what he’ll miss most about his time as Associate Dean, Fair had this to say.
Fair added that a big take away from his time in St. Thomas/Elgin is how great the community really is.
As for what’s next for him, Fair says he isn’t going far.
Donna Gates, Associate Dean of the Simcoe/Norfolk Regional Campus, will be extending her leadership to include serving as the Acting Associate Dean of the St. Thomas/Elgin Regional Campus and Fair says the community is in great hands.
Congratulations on your retirement Ross.
