The St. Thomas Police arrested 3 individuals on Owaissa Street Thursday night, after an alert citizen called police to report suspicious activity in the neighbourhood.
Police were called to the area around 11 p.m. after a witness observed two people trying to enter vehicles parked along the street.
The witness then reported that the suspects had entered a waiting SUV and were about to drive away, however officers were able to stop the vehicle before it left the area.
It was soon discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen out of London and officers took the 3 occupants into custody.
During a search, officers seized illicit Crystal Methamphetamine, Fentanyl and Dilauded with a street value of just over $1000 from inside the vehicle along with a set of scales.
As a result 44 year old Jason Ekeocha of London is charged with 1 count Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle by Drug, 1 count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, 2 counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, 3 counts Drug Possession, 2 counts Breach of Probation.
44 year old Susan Campbell of London is charged with 1 count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, 2 counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, 3 counts Drug Possession.
31 year old Stephen Doyle of London is charged with 1 count Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000, 2 counts Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, 3 counts Drug Possession, 3 counts Breach of Release Conditions.
All three were held for a court appearance.
