The St. Thomas Police are searching for a suspect after they fled from officers, almost striking their cruiser in the process.
Police report that on Sunday, officers were called to the Tim Hortons on Highbury Ave in regards to a suspicious male sleeping in a vehicle for many hours.
Officers woke the male, who immediately put the vehicle in reverse, almost striking the Police cruiser, fleeing the scene Northbound on Highbury Ave.
Police later learned that the dealer plate attached to the vehicle was stolen out of London.
The vehicle was later located by London Police Service on fire on Wharncliffe Road South and it is believed that the suspect later stole a white Jeep Cherokee in London and affixed the same stolen dealer plate 150 DRL.
The suspect is described as 20-30 years old, Caucasian, with brown hair and a slim build.
