Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the St. Thomas Iron Horse Festival that was set to take place from August 20th to 22nd has been cancelled.
Iron Horse Festival President Joanne Dowswell says that it was a very difficult decision for them but with the announcement of the cancellation of the Western Fair which is after the Iron Horse, they felt it was best to cancel.
Dowswell says that their main priority is to keep to community safe, even if restrictions continue to get lifted.
Dowswell adds that the committee will continue to fundraise throughout the year with the hope of bringing a bigger and better Iron Horse Festival to St. Thomas in 2021.
