For many people in St. Thomas, Inn Out of the Cold is a home away from home and because of that, they are one of our myFM Community Builders. Lori Fitzgerald is the Executive Director of Inn Out of the Cold, which provides those who need it a safe place to stay if they are facing homelessness. Thanks to the support of many donors and the community, the Inn is able to provide residents with a safe place to lay their heads and a warm meal.
Fitzgerald says she is so thrilled to be apart of an organization like this especially during these difficult times that we are facing.
Fitzgerald says much like the of theme our day, being successful as an organization comes easier when we all work together as a community.
Fitzgerald says after about 6 months of working for Inn Out of the Cold, the accomplishment she is most proud of is the ability to operate the shelter year round as opposed to just during the winter months.
