The idea started with a hope of plugging in a coffee maker and supplying some conversation to those that need it, but Grace Cafe owner Ginny Trepanier says things don’t always work out the way you plan.
Since December of 2014, Trepanier and her group of amazing volunteers have been dedicated to serving the community of St. Thomas by offering free lunch, coffee and clothing in a cozy, welcoming setting to those that need it.
Trepanier says contrary to what some might think, the patrons who visit the Cafe range in terms of needs.
Trepanier says the group at the Grace Cafe is like one big family, with many of them having visited since they first opened.
When asked what her biggest accomplishment was in terms of the Grace Cafe, Trepanier says that besides the beautiful building that they get to operate out of, it would be that they just keep on going everyday no matter what.
myFM and St. Thomas thank you Ginny Trepanier, for making a difference in our City by being a Community Builder.
