A new partnership will see the STEAM Education Centre in St. Thomas relocate to inside of the Talbot Teen Centre beginning next month. The partnership will see the science, technology, engineering, art and math interactive learning centre move from their 168 Curtis Street location to the Teen Centre at 745 Talbot Street as of December 1st.
The STEAM Centre will operate the facility during the day where they can welcome field trips and various community organizations until 3 p.m. The Teen Centre will then takeover with their programming at 3 p.m.
The move will bring all of the STEAM Centre’s current resources with them like 3D printers, laser cutter and more. This partnership will enhance the Teen Centre’s programming as it will allow them access to the maker tools offered by the STEAM Centre.
