
A Malahide Township man is facing charges after multiple police divisions including the canine unit were called in to contain the area of Ron McNeil Line and Yarmouth Centre Road on Saturday afternoon (November 9). The incident began around 1 p.m. when the OPP observed a vehicle being driven erratically on Talbot Line near Centennial Road.
The vehicle was then driven through a field. The officers followed the vehicle’s tracks and saw the driver flee the scene near a wooded lot near Ron McNeil Line and Yarmouth Centre Road.
The OPP’s canine unit along with the St. Thomas Police and other OPP divisions contained the area to help bring the driver into custody.
A stolen rifle and stolen shotgun were recovered from the scene.
35 year-old Christopher Gaudio is now facing a total of 8 charges that include 2 counts of possession of a firearm obtained by crime, two counts of operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, dangerous driving among others.
