Another major production company is using the former St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital as a filming location. Amazon Prime TV is on site filming season two of the “The Boys.” The series is based off of the “The Boys” comic book series features a team of vigilantes that try and keep corrupt heroes in check.
While no filming specifics have been provided, a large “Sage Grove Center Psychiatric Hospital” bricked sign is on the front lawn of the property. There were also two “Sage Grove Center” branded ambulances parked outside of the front doors. Filming for season two has also been taking place in Toronto.
The series debuted in July of 2019.
A portion of the CBS Film “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” that was recently in theatres was also shot at the former hospital and included some local residents as background extras.
