ELGIN COUNTY OPP INVESTIGATING BREAK AND ENTER

    The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police responded to a daytime break and enter on Erin Line in Dutton Ontario on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

The suspects gained entry to the home sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Numerous items were stolen from the residence including firearms, electronics, and cash.

The OPP's Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and collected evidentiary information from the break in. Elgin County scenes of crime officers also assisted with this investigation.

Police are asking anyone in the area at the time who may have seen unfamiliar vehicles or people to contact the Elgin County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
