    The Elgin County OPP along with the Elgin County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate a robbery that occurred on Friday, October 5, 2018 around 7:30 p.m. in Belmont, Ontario. A lone male entered a food store and demanded money from an attendant. During the robbery the lone male used an edged weapon. No one was physically injured.
Officers from the OPP's London Highway Safety Division, Middlesex, and Oxford OPP responded to the call along with Elgin County members. The OPP's Canine Unit along with members of the Emergency Response Team also attended the scene of the crime.
The lone male left the area with a quantity of cash. The OPP's Forensic Identification Section attended the scene and collected forensic information from the incident.

At this time police continue to look for a suspect described as the following: - White male with an unshaven face - Over 6" tall - Over the age of 40 Wearing: - Dark coloured pants with green on them - Grey coloured jacket with fur around hood part - Carrying an older reusable green material shopping bag
