The St. Thomas - Elgin Local Immigration Partnership is holding their first ever "Community Conversation" on Thursday night (September 13).
The event at the CASO Station will feature three speakers that will talk about three immigration topics.
Islams and Muslims in Canadian context, the media's portrayal of immigrants and refugees and the economic impacts of immigrants will all be discussed.
Project Coordinator Petrusia Hontar says that the night will also give people an opportunity to ask questions.
Hontar says that she hopes that people take the information from the night and use it to help welcome their neighbors to St. Thomas that are looking to call the City home.
