SIU TERMINATES INVESTIGATION IN ST. THOMAS

The Special Investigations unit has terminated an investigation relating to an incident that happened in St. Thomas.
The SIU was contacted after the St. Thomas Police received a complaint about an incident on May 23rd where a 26-year-old St. Thomas man was injured during an arrest. The man had been wanted by police on an outstanding warrant.
On July 5th, police were notified that the investigation had been terminated.
The Special Investigations Unit is the civilian oversight agency responsible for investigating circumstances involving police that have resulted in a death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault of a civilian in Ontario.
