Facebook is trying to crack down on so called 'fake news', launching a third party fact checking program Canada wide.
Facebook Canada has partnered with Agence France-Presse to try to crack down on false news spread on it's platform.
AFP fact-checkers will review both English and French news stories on Facebook and rate their accuracy.
As part of the program, Canadians who be informed if a story they shared has been rated as false.
Pages that routinely share false news will also be seen less in Facebook feeds.
