Police service dog Axle helped bring drugs off the streets of St. Thomas early Friday morning (June 8). St. Thomas Police located a suspicious vehicle in a north end townhouse complex parking lot just before 3 a.m.
When police spoke with the male driver they say that they saw a glass pipe with drug residue in the vehicle.
Police then placed the male under arrest. When bringing the suspect out of the vehicle police allege that a glass bong with drug residue on it was in the driver's door.
The K-9 unit was brought into search the vehicle. Service dog Axle located two small baggies of crystal meth and a digital scale in the vehicle.
The 22 year old male is faced with one count of possession of a controlled substance and he was released with a future court date.
