The St. Thomas Police Service is celebrating their community partners during Police week (May 13 - 19). This year's theme is "Celebrating Policing and Community Partnerships." The Police have working partnerships with multiple organizations in the City to help solve crime and maintain safety.
Police Chief Chris Herridge says that they have many organizations that they work with on an ongoing basis.

The Police have multiple events planned throughout the community this week. On Wednesday (May 16) Chief Herridge, Deputy Chief Marc Roskamp and Inspector Hank Zehr will be at the Tim Horton's on Talbot Street and Woodworth Ave for "Coffee with a Cop" from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Herridge says that the informal talks with residents can be very beneficial.

Also on Wednesday (May 16) there is a "Shred it" drop off in the Timken Centre Parking lot from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Residents are invited to bring your old documents to be shredded.
On Thursday (May 17) there will be two seminars at the Real Canadian Superstore on scamming. The seminars are taking place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. These will help to better educate the public on ways that they can help better protect themselves from scams.
Also this week the Police will be helping deliver Meals on Wheels and meeting with residents at Valleyview Home.
