The Elgin County Railway Museum is having their grand reopening on Saturday (May 12). The museum has been closed since last fall as they underwent an extensive roof restoration project.
A large 8,200 square foot portion of the centre section of the museum has been replaced.
Executive Director Dawn Miskelly says that the replacement will allow visitors to get closer to some of the exhibits.

Miskelly says that they hope that the roof replacement will help bring some new visitors to the museum and bring back some repeat visitors as well.
The museum will be open on Saturday from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
They will be open next Saturday May 19th from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.   Following the Victoria Day long weekend they will begin their summer hours which will see them open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
