The first all candidates meeting ahead of the upcoming Provincial Election is being deemed a success by both the organizers and those in attendance.
The Carnegie Room at the St. Thomas Public Library was full on Thursday night (May 10) with people wanting to hear what each of the 4 candidates from the major parties had to say.
The questions all related around social and economic issues relating to poverty.
myFM spoke with those who attended the meeting and they thought that having poverty be the theme was important.

Those there also said that the night did help them decide who they may vote for.

The night was organized by the Elgin St. Thomas Coalition to End Poverty. The night ended with members in attendance given the opportunity to ask the candidates questions.
The Provincial election is taking place on June 7, 2018.
