STEAM SCHOOL FIRST SEMESTER A SUCCESS
2/9/2018 10:29:56 AM

The STEAM School's first semester was a success and they are already looking forward to next year. 65 grade 10 students took part in the first ever semester of STEAM School. Early feedback from the teachers is that both the teachers and students benefited from there being no bells or periods which allowed the students to structure their day around the projects that they had to do.

STEAM Centre Executive Director Jessica Moyes says some students also saw their attendance go up at STEAM School which can also be seen as a positive sign.

Moyes says that registration for next year's STEAM School is already open on their website for current grade 9 students. Next year's edition of STEAM School will also be open to a limited number of grade 11 students.

An open house for STEAM School is taking place on February 15th from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. where perspective students and parents are welcome to come and learn more about STEAM School.

There are also information sessions at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. that will be led by STEAM teachers.
