WOMAN CHARGED FOLLOWING GROCERY STORE THEFT

A woman is facing one charge after she allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of groceries from a grocery store in St. Thomas. The incident occurred at the Real Canadian Superstore around 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
       
Police say that $500 worth of items was allegedly stolen from the store by the 48 year old woman.
       
The items that were allegedly stolen were higher end items such as chocolates, meat and lobster. The woman then left the store without paying for the items. St. Thomas Police arrived on scene and took the woman into custody.
     
She faces one count of theft under $5,000. She was released with a future court date.
