OPP WARNING OF VEHICLES PRETENDING TO BE THE POLICE
12/1/2017 3:53:35 PM

There seems to be someone in the county impersonating a police officer, and the OPP are trying to find out who it is.

Police say that on November 29th, just before midnight, a dark coloured Pontiac G5-style vehicle activated red and blue lights within the front windshield. A motorist on Talbot Line near Carson Road in Bayham was pulled over. The fake police vehicle then left westbound on Talbot Line.

The next night, a similar situation occurred on Plank Line, north of Mount Elgin.

If the public is ever unsure if a police officer is stopping them, you're asked to contact 9-1-1 to confirm your stop location with police. Impersonating a police officer is a criminal offence.
